Principal Engineer - Electrical - 1106-30

We have an immediate opening for a Principal Engineer – Electrical focusing on Electrical Power Systems. This position will be in the central engineering department located in our Parma, Ohio facility.

The primary responsibility of this position is to be the senior resource of the company in the area of electrical power systems. To this end he/she will:

  • Develop and implement optimum solutions to get reliable operation at minimum cost on key electrical power equipment.
  • Drive programs designed to reduce costs and increase equipment up-time.
  • Identify, refine, update, keep current and document best practices, communicate these to the various sites and facilitate implementation.
  • Liaison with plant and Technical Center personnel to remain current on process, safety, and environmental needs and activities of the company and contribute to their development.
  • Will be the technical resource for the company for:
    • High voltage, high power electrical systems.
    • Large DC power supplies.
    • Regulating transformers.
  • Experience in Synthetic Graphite processing and electrical furnaces will be a big plus.

A qualified candidate for this position will have a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. A Masters degree is a plus. A Minimum of ten years relevant experience is required. Must have strong planning and organizational skills, solid analytical skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Must have a proven track record in managing large technical projects.
